Cannot set default font size from Style (F11) in libre draw text box

I have been going to the ‘Drawing Styles’ sidebar (F11) to change default text for my text boxes in Libre Draw, but when I open a new textbox or new file in Draw my selections are gone. I have gone to

  • Styles or F11
  • then TextModify (by right click)
  • then selected the Fonts tab
  • then selected Liberation Serif, Regular, 14
  • then click OK

I have also gone to

  • Styles or F11
  • then ShapeModify (by right click)
  • then selected the Fonts tab
  • then selected Liberation Serif, Regular, 14
  • then click OK

. . . and a couple other items in the Styles items list. But my selections don’t appear when I make a new text box; the old defaults reappear not my selections. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I would like the text boxes to default to 14 pt size.

but when I open a … new file in Draw
my selections are gone.

You must create and apply a new Default Template file for the applications - if you want to use modified default properties in a new ODF file.
