I am getting "..../..../..." file does not exist. Why ? Where did it go?

Recently did 2 things.

  1. Backed up my MacBook pro harddrive to a Seagate external drive using Time Machine.

  2. tried to move my data using migration assistant to a new MacBook air.

Since then some of my LibreOffice documents do not open. Says they do not exist. How do I recover them?

When I find those files on the external hard drive they do not open. File name comes up but nothing happens.

EDIT_ebot Text formatted for better readability.

How do you try to open your files (probably not using File -> Open and navigating to the storage location, but clicking on some icons, which are not the files but references [links] to files, which now, due to the migration, may be located on a different place than before)?

Did you also migrate your user profile from ../Library/Application Support/LibreOffice? If yes - try to reset your LibreOffice user profile.
