How do I apply a style to a whole documents?

I have made a style template by taking and stripping out a master document,
now i need to paste all my stuff into these templates, bulk apply formatting as you would with a css style or something to make it all consistent-
Heading fonts, footers, body and quotes and so on.
Any tips for this?

I will have to go through and tag my quotations and default text etc beforehand I imagine.

Where is the “consolidate style” button i hope it exists

If you have made a style set then one method I believe is to load the document, press F11 to show Styles and Formatting, then to global change your document, click the top right button to “Load Styles” and select the style sheet you have created…

Hope this helps

It did Oldbwl, thankyou.

I had to realise Template is analogous to Style. Im still learning the lingo I guess.

I also had to remember check all the import boxes (text frame page numbering) especially OVERWRITE which actually applies it.

I found the overwrite checkbox bit obtuse and it was default unticked (overwrite is a scary thing to select, and who selects a whole new style without bothering to apply it…).
