Following H. Delest suggestion I am trying to learn macros from Chapter 13, getting started guide. I found at page 385 top (see image) the Select macro icon mentioned. I scrolled all the command table in Writer apllication (see image) without finding it.
Page 385 of the guide refers to LibreOffice Basic IDE (see Figure 349); it is opened at step 9 of the sequence that you are reading; but you are looking for it in Writer.
By the way, the sentence is ambiguous.
