I have installed the 7.1.2 version of LibreOffice. My system is a 2008 imac El Capitan OSX 10.11.6 Will the 7.1.2 version work ? When I pull up a file, It is "squeezed". Images are "overlapped".

When a file is opened, the images are distorted (squeezed together, or overlapped) Can this be resolved?

Will 7.1.2 work with my “older” operating system?

Can this help? :

If you didn’t uncheck the Allow overlap property of images, they will overlap if they are anchored to the same reference (or too close references). Edit your question to provide more information about your images.

Yes it will, and indeed it does, since you say “When a file is opened, the images are distorted …” - so obviously the program runs, and opens files.

But if the results are unexpected, that might need investigating. E.g., you may use an external file format that is not 100% perfectly supported by LO; or there may be a font missing on your system, or something else.
