First of all, fonts are provided by the operating system to LibreOffice, they are not part of LibreOffice. You can search for Google Fonts to download and install some public domain fonts.

Your actual question " how to get larger fonts'' can be answered by selecting your text and increasing the font size. This is absolute basic knowledge so I think I am missing something in your question, can you elaborate?

In the meantime I recommend Writer Guide. Cheers, Al

More options - depending on the missing bits:

I want to increase height of all text in an existing document

=> if the text is not formatted with styles, select all (Ctrl+A), then Format|Text|Increase Size

I want to make all text better visible on screen

=> Zoom in, e.g. using slider in the right bottom corner, or using Ctrl+mouse wheel.

The dirty method: Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer Basic Fonts (Western) and change the Default font size.

Best method: Create a default template.
