Fill characters in Table of Content

I’ve created a table of content and am trying to change the beginning of fill characters for Heading 1 (between last letter of Heading 1 and start of fill characters is a blank gap). Unfortunately I’m not able to do this and neither to get rid of the fill characters completely. All other changes such as fonts, font size, margins, etc. to Heading 1, 2 or 3 is no problem. I’m using LO Writer 4.2.1.1.

Could anybody please give me a hint on how to achieve my goal. Many thanks for the help.

My TOCs have no gap there. Please go in edit mode of the TOC and to dialog page “Entries”. Select Level 1 and then click into the white area between E and T. Delete any content there.

To get rid of the fill character, click on the T and delete the entry in field “Fill character”.
