In reviewing the storage on my MacBook I discovered a very large libreoffice file. When I opened it it appeared to be the install file. So I "ejected" it thinking I was freeing up storage space. It ended up deleting Libreoffice from my Mac completely. Many times I tried downloading it from your website, each time it was installed ok but when I went to open Libreoffice I received this message: "Libreoffice" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash. This happened multiple times. So, today I tried to download it again, this time saving the file and then opening it. I was successful. It opens with no problems. However, now the disc file (or what is the install file) is permanently on my desktop. Why am I unable to remove the install disc without removing the software? It wouldn't even let me move it into a miscellaneous folder, all it did was make a copy, The disc image remains on my desktop. Thank you.

Yes. It is now properly installed, but I can not get rid of the install remains on my desktop. That is the question, if I remove this file it removed the software with it.
