Stop File menu changing height on window change

Hi, when I switch to a Calc window the height of the File menu increases. When I click away from the window it shrinks.

I hope this shows it clearly:

In the image I’m focused on sheet “Untitled 1” to the right, hovvered over “File” in the file menu. For comparison see the shorter File menu height on “Untitled 2” on the left.

It’s quite annoying - If I copy a value from one sheet, then click on a cell in the other sheet, the Filemenu height changes, everything jumps vertically, and I paste it in the wrong cell!

Many thanks for any help on this, Dan

Not reproducible on my system, which is:

Version: 7.1.3.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 47f78053abe362b9384784d31a6e56f8511eb1c1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: kf5
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Ah, in the process of doing a quick video showing the issue:

I realise it’s that “globe download” icon telling me there’s an update. It’s taller than the original menu and shows only on the active window.

Annoyingly even if I click Close on the Update info screen, that icon stays there. Which means I’ll have to update every time that icon appears. I’ve updated now anyway to the latest version, problem has gone.

Thanks for having a look @anon73440385
