If you expect any answer at all, edit both the question title to make short and “catchy” and the description to better explain the issue.

*You tagged meta (problem with this site) and all components of the suite (with an irregular compound impress.base and a mistyped lcommon for common. So retag. To exit retag mode, type a space to be away of any tag and press Enter twice.

Give all useful information so that we can understand without seeing your screen. Don’t forget OS name and LO version.

Please do not use Add Answer but edit your original question to enhance the details of your question (answers are reserved for solutions to a problem on this Q&A site).

and that’s why you use tags “lcommon writer calc impress.base draw math meta” simultaneously, which makes no sense to me.

Saved documents disappeared - really? From which observation do you conclude that? (My guess: They disappeared from the Start Center panel).

> can I recover all these

Since I doubt that saved files disappeared from your system, consequently I doubt that there is a need to recover. Just use your system’s file manager (which system at all?), use its search facility and/or use LibreOffice’sFile -> Open functionality.

What should us tell this - or is it just due to having shot your bolt already in the lengthy title?

You probably pressed Ctrl+A, selecting all text, instead of Shift+A. Typing on when text is selected will delete the selection, in your case all text. Sooner or later that happens to everybody.
