I’ve seen many comments about LibreOffice opening/importing Corel CDR files, but I’ve tried it with the 7.1.4 version and neither Open nor Import seem to work.
Probably best opening cdr in Inkscape and saving as svg.
I find that if I open Draw, click File > Open I can open more cdr files than by import, drag, or any other way.
When I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 I lost CorelDraw; it’s one of my reasons for going open source wherever possible, spending the time learning how to use those programs and supporting those efforts.
I tried Inkscape, and it didn’t work either. I’m trying to open clipart in a Corel collection, and it may be that it has a different internal format even though it’s still a CDR file.
I can open many of the files I created in CorelDraw; none from clipart collections.
That’s consistent with my experience.
