Calc will not calculate Sum [closed]

I am attempting to calculate the total payments in a comma-delimited CSV file downloaded from Amazon payments. Calc formatted the file correctly and is displaying the payments in column F, rows 2 through 1723. However, using this formula in a cell

 =SUM(F2:F1723)

results in Calc simply displaying the formula and not the actual sum. Tools > Cell Contents > AutoCalculate is turned on. Options > LibreOffice Calc > View > Formulas is not turned on. Pressing F9 changes nothing. I am at a loss as to what could be causing this, but it very clearly seems like a bug.

Hi @craig, if your locale has comma as decimal separator, maybe the values have been imported as text. You can set up when importing, clicking on the field header and selecting 'US number' for import.
