Issue with vertical alignment in table row spanning across two pages (Writer)

I have a table with multiple rows and two columns. One specific row of this table contains several lines of text in the first column and only one line of text in the second column, set to align to the bottom of the cell. This row spans across two pages, because of the content in the first column.

The text in the second column does not align to the bottom of the cell, as would have been expected, but instead to the bottom of the part of the cell that is on the first page. How can I have this text align the actual bottom of the cell?

Hi @sebastien_vigneau,

If you could attach a screenshot, that might help us to understand the problem you’re describing.

If you think this behavior is a bug, or is a feature that should be implemented, please file a bug or file a bug and mark it as an enhancement request (set bug severity to ‘enhancement’).

Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format “fdo#123456”.

Thanks!

As you want bottom aligned text, I would try following workaround: Add empty line returns in the second page until the text you want to have at the bottom of the second page moves to the second page. Then the bottom alignment should work.

However, I would be good to file a bug report.
