In a Writer doc, I have a table with like 100 rows in it, and it is too much for one standard size, 8.5x11 portrait view printout; so I am trying to break it into smaller sections by row.
To do so, I am trying to do a page break about half way down, but it wont take the break either automatically or manually.
Is this kind of a page break even possible?
Automatic
Right-click in your table and select Properties. In the dialog that opens, select the tab labelled Text Flow and in that, tick the box that says Allow table to split across pages and columns.
While you are on that tab consider if you want the row to split (probably not but depends on content), and if you want to repeat the heading rows (probably). Click OK and your table will split over pages as required.
Manual
Click at the end of the last cell that you want on the page. In the menu click Table > Split Table, choose whether to copy heading or another option, OK. Take care around merged cells.

Not sure why the Automatic option didn’t work, but the Manual worked perfectly.
