Make form shapes/images non interactive

OS - Debian Sid | Libreoffice Base version - 7.0.4.2

Hopefully a simple one.

When i add shapes like boxes or arrows to a form, they remain 'interactive outside of edit mode. For example, a user can accidentally click/highlight these objects when using a form. They cant be edited like this, they just highlight.

I would like to have them behave as a fixed part of the form (like a background or label). The same happens for basic images too (not image controls). I cant find a solution in the settings myself (have played with the anchor and arrangement), hoping someone knows whether this is possible?

Im trying to create ‘modular’ panels with relevant fields in them.

How is your question related to databases (you tagged base)? Edit your question to describe what you are trying to do in which context and which application (retag with its name if it not Base). As always, mention OS name and LO version.

Don’t use “Add Answer” which is reserved for solutions but edit the question.

Im using libreoffice base hence i tagged base. Context is given as creating a form. Will update the post & tag

Added a photo, hopefully that clarifies the issue

For the borders around the way too many groups on a single form, use a Group Box. Has square corners but not problematic as shown. As for others, don’t know of a method.

I have a set of basic forms already… Im editing these new styles on one form (to later copy and paste to smaller forms). Its faster to edit in one place, address and contact will then be on their own form again. Thanks for the heads up on the group box, ill look into that.
