Out of knowhere my ability to change font colors is inactive

I had done some system cleanup, updates, for Windows 7 and replaced my Opera Web browser and have restarted my laptop 5 times unable to change the color of the font in a text document. This just started today, up until today I was able to change the color of the font.

A second issue I have been having is at the community college I attend they have Word 2010, on some machines and 2013 on others. using a thumb drive or scan disk to do transferring of work I have had challenges with thumb drives converting back and forth from Libre to Word and back. To the point where I had to run a clean up program on the disk to save the information on it or it would of been gone. I do not care for Microsoft one bit but they have market on Word and it is hard to use 2 systems. I have purchased new 16 mg thumb-drives to use to see if it is just usage on the thumb drive the thumb drives use a FAT 32.

It is possible the cleanup you describe may be related to this change, however it is impossible for others to know exactly what you did, and thus impossible to confirm if this is the cause. I would suggest have a look at the user profile to see if it has somehow become corrupted.

Re. the second issue, using FAT32 may be convenient, but it is known to exhibit problems as it is a non-journaling file system, so offers no effective recovery process. Also try and avoid opening / editing files directly on a USB drive as there are known problems with USB device drivers that can cause serious errors. Copy the file to the local computer, edit it, and then copy it back to the storage device once you are finished. That should at least help reduce the number of problems.

I reinstalled the latest version of Libre and that allowed the font color to become active again, thanks for your time!
