Documents prepared in LO Writer carry as part of the font settings a color. I wish to strip that out so my desktop publishing software doesn't have to deal with this. I just need the black and white text. Suggestions?

Maybe from the top left side of writer you can use the "clear format" style. Be careful because it will change not only the colours but also the font type.

If you only need to change the font of a particular style e.g. Default Text, Text Body:

  1. Open the style window (Format > Styles and Formatting, or F11)
  2. Right click on the style > Modify
  3. Select Font tab. Change font colours.
  4. Save/Apply
