Is there any way to have the default action to be no header or footer in calc?

I don’t ever use headers or footers. I have to go in to settings and turn them off every time I print anything.

If you mean the Column headers you can go to Tools/Options/Calc/view…In the Windows category there is a check box option. There is also a checkbox to turn off tabs…

OK…I believe that would be done in either your printer settings or in the case of LinuxMint when Print is selected a dialogue comes up. One of the references is TextEditor. That tab will have the option to set footers font to 0 and disable headers…Hope that helps…that’s as far as I can go lol…

I’m sorry. I didn’t explain this very well. Every time I print a page I get a header saying sheet 1 and a footer saying page 1. I want to have the print settings default to Header off and footer off. I almost always forget about this and have to go back in and print the page again with this turned off.

Then you need to create a new default template with header and footer disable. Please take a look to calc documentation chapter 4:
