After reopening large section of my text have a grey highlighting that I can't remove [closed]

After reopening a document a large section of the text have a grey background/highlighting. It does not show in print preview.

If i double click on this grey section, the entire grey area (spanning several pages) will get marked.

Changing hightlighting or background does not remove it.

It looks sort of similar to they grey markings of fields such as indexes. It looks like this:

I am using libreoffice writer version

This is a bug. I've had this problem, after adding a comment to a text span and then removing the comment.

The only solution I found was to cut (ctrl-x) the text and then use paste special (ctrl-shift-v) to insert it as unformatted text. Then you have to format it again.
