Trouble using Mail Merge [closed]

Greetings! In Calc, I have a spreadsheet with 638 rows. I try to do a mailmerge with writer using that spreadsheet converted to a Base file. Everything looks good, but it runs through the 638 twice. Then it shows that there are 1276 or 1275 pages. Scrolling through the pages they all look like Letter size pages. What gives?

So if I understand correctly from your explanation ("Trouble using Mail Merge" isn't exactly a question :)), your question is "why is each row used twice in my mail merge?". To answer, I need more information. Please edit your question and add the steps you take.

Or, alternatively : why does LO insert blank pages into my mailmerge, thereby doubling the number of total pages ? Indicating which version of LO you are using and on which OS would be helpful too.
