How can I jump to the desired chapter in a document?

I press CTRL and nothing happens…

whattt… can I doooooo - uuuuuu? )

First of all I can recommend to read the manual which is free, like a free beer: http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/

You need a table of contents and then all what you want works very fine.

An additional hint for long documents: make a bookmark at the beginning of the table of contents than you can quickly jump there. To use the bookmark, right click on left bottom corner where the number of pages are displayed.

This is a task the Navigator is designed to assist with. Headings (chapter markers) can be clicked on to move the viewing window to that location. Unfortunately there is no concept of “chapter” in LO, in terms of navigation, as a chapter can be defined in a number of ways (usually via Heading 1 entry, but this can vary).

One possible workaround for keyboard navigation is to set a bookmark at the beginning of each chapter (and avoid setting them elsewhere) in order to make use of the “To Next Bookmark” / “To Previous Bookmark” key functions (which are unassigned by default, but which can be assigned via Tools > Customize…).

I got it, thank u for the answer! )

I found what I was looking for!!! This is navigator (F5)! Thanks for help.

If the answer works for you, could you mark it “correct” by clicking the checkmark? Thanks!

this is not the answer on my question! Of course I am using a table of contents. But I cannot use it’s items as links for quick jumping over the whole document… Maybe there is no such an opportunity in LibreOffice?

Please use comments to respond to answers, because you are not answering your question. Thanks
