Table is split across multiple pages

Hello:
I’m trying to write a basic math formulary. I’ve arranged the different in tables so that I can manage the structure more easily, however when I save the document and open it again the “Integrals” table is split across multiple pages. Is this some kind of bug? or is it a formatting problem?

This is one of those awful bugs affecting compound arrangements e.g., in this case objects (formulas) in tables in columns. I have seen reports for it before, but I can’t locate any at present. I think it is basically a layout engine issue, such that it is incorrectly calculating the amount of available space or what the required space is, given a difficult set of settings across multiple objects.

The usual remedy is to set / unset one or more of the Text Flow settings (as indicated by @mariosv ). These options worked for me with your example:

Unset “Keep with next paragraph” setting

  1. Select the Integrale table.
  2. Table > Table Properties…
  3. Text Flow tab.
  4. Check “Keep with next paragraph” option.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Repeat step 1-3.
  7. Uncheck “Keep with next paragraph” option.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Save file to a new name.

Turn on text registration

  1. Select the Table Contents paragraph style.
  2. Right-click > Modify…
  3. Indents & Spacing tab.
  4. Register-true section > check “Activate” option.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Save file to a new name.

Hi Robert, in Table format there is an option to split tables.

About the integrals size, I think you can find a solution in:

I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear enough my problem is that the table is literally split across multiple pages, for example: cells 1-8 are on page 2; cells 11-12 on page 3; 14-15 on page 3, and the rest on page 5.
