After the most recent update, libreoffice isn't presenting many characters correctly the in the formula editor. Why? What can I do to fix it?

I just downloaded the latest update for libreoffice 4.2.5 for windows xp x86 version and now many characters in the function editor are being presented as wingdings. Left and Right Parentheses for example are presented as a phone and a floppy disk respectively. Can I do anything to fix this?

This is likely a font issue. In the Math component have a look under Format > Fonts… and see if the entries make sense. I have Liberation Serif for most entries here.
