Where can I obtain the Courier 10 Pitch font for use with LO?

I really need Courier 10 Pitch to write spec scripts–not the same as your Courier Final Draft–can you help me? Wondering if I can load Courier 10 Pitch (font) onto the Libre program. Or can you? Need this to write spec scripts and the Courier Final Draft (font) is just not the same. best Diana Merrill 415-921-4320

Fonts are in general NOT provided by LO but by the operating system and only used by programs.

On my win7 box I have Courier New and Courier Regular (from Microsoft, not TrueType but bitmap). I don’t know what Courier Final Draft is, maybe an OpenFont which can not be identical to a licenced Font like Courier New.

You might run a Google search for “Courier 10 Pitch” to find a font (hopefully for free). Good luck!

EDIT: Courier New 12 Point looks like 1o Pitch.

A free version of this font (in the form of Type1) is distributed with most GNU/Linux distributions as part of X11 e.g.,

$ fc-list "Courier 10 pitch"
/usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/c0419bt_.pfb: Courier 10 Pitch:style=Regular
/usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/c0611bt_.pfb: Courier 10 Pitch:style=Bold Italic
/usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/c0582bt_.pfb: Courier 10 Pitch:style=Italic
/usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/c0583bt_.pfb: Courier 10 Pitch:style=Bold

I would suggest downloading the Debian xfonts-scalable package here (select any release and then click the “all” link in the table), unzipping it, and installing the required fonts.

Hello. An update for 2019. This font and several other “type 1” fonts are no longer accessible to LibreOffice in recent versions because it no longer supports type 1 fonts. Source: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104701
