I recently installed libre office 3.3.5. When I try to open presentation it get a “program has stopped working” message.
This happens if I try to open any existing docs or if I just try to open the presentation program to create a new doc.
Text and Spreadsheet are working with no issues.
LibreOffice 3.3 is quite old - would it be possible to upgrade to 3.5.5? Which OS are you using? Is it a ppt file or a “native” Impress file?

Ok - if it also happens if you try to create a new Impress file, it may be a user-profile issue. Could you [try to reset your user profile[(http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)?
