Office Writer Footnote/Endnote anchors

Hi all

Hope someone has an answer to this. When I insert a Footnote/Endnote into a document all works OK except that the Anchor Number in the original document shows up as a “Shaded Number”. By that I mean that the small anchor number in the document shows up in a shaded area. I have tried everything to clear this shading and just leave a plain anchor number…but without success.

I have updated to latest version on Libra Office. Any ideas???

Editing:

View > Field Shadings (CNTL+F8) will turn the default highlighting (grey) on/off. (Answer provided by “oweng”.)

In addition (my original answer):

The anchor is a ‘field’. The shading shall help finding and using it (as an internal link). It will not be printed. You may define another kind of highlighting (even background colour) by modifying the predefined Character Style ‘Footnote Anchor’. However ‘No Fill’ as background will not remove the ‘shade’. (Tail of the answer removed being obsolete.)

Many thanks for the very quick response. I shall give that a try

Brendan

Sorry, obsolete!
