Why do I have to enable macros in a digitally signed document every time I open it?

Version: 4.1.3.2
Build ID: 410m0(Build:2)
Languange: en_US
Component: calc
OS: Linux Mint 16 (petra)

Do you have to answer the same question everytime or enable from a menu ?

Same question every time.

Try updating your LO, cuz the area mentioned in my answer was buggy in some specific versions, gotten self-fixed later.

In settings, under LibreOffice, is Security, and it has Macro Security button. Set the level to Medium, and a tab for trusted sources. I think you can import or something the signature to LO by menu: FileDigital Signatures.

This is not a solution that works for me. Macro security level had already been set to Medium, plus I had already digitally signed the macro in question, to no avail. I tried digitally signing the spreadsheet and that doesn’t work either; I still must OK the enabling of macros every time I open the file.

Also, every time I change and save the document, the signatures are removed and I have to resign it.

Can anyone tell me if this is the way it’s supposed to work? Namely,

  1. that I must OK the enabling of this macro every time I open the file, and
  2. that I must resign the document every time I change the data and save the document?
