I have doc file contains visio graph.am trying to open that graph from the file through libre office write.But it is showing read only once opening in Libre office draw.
I would try the following:
- Open the doc-file using Writer
- Save Writer file in ods-format but with a different file name to avoid the "read-only"condition
- Open the embedded Visio file in Draw.
If it doesn’t work I would save the doc-file first in doc-format but with a different name to avoid the “read-only” condition.
Note: If your doc-file is attached to an email, first save your doc-file on your (e.g.) desktop. This could already remove the “read-only” setting. Writer has a safety function that a file attached to an email opens only as “read-only”
