There is a white bar on the left hand side that goes down on to all of my pages. It blocks the text underneath it, and it looks like a column kind of?

Like I said, it blocks any text underneath it, it goes away for a second when I click view, and click hidden paragraphs, but comes back when I scroll down. Please help, I think it is affecting all of my documents.
