I am making a logo with the words, "Harris Creek" going around the top of my circle, "Model Railroad" going around the bottom half of the circle. How do I do this in Libre Draw. I am using Linux Mint 17. I have watched the Frugalcomputerguy on You Tube, he shows how to work type on a wiggly line, but I haven't found one for a circle or oval.. Thanks for your help

I could create a circle with text by using Fontwork

  • View > Toolbars > Fontwork
  • Click on the Fontwork icon
  • Select one of the half circle like looking elements
  • Write the text you want
  • Click outside the Fontwork element
  • Go to the left side middle blue square in and your cursor becomes a hand
  • Grap the point and move it down to the right and oval will be created
  • Right click on the oval > Position and Size > uncheck: keep ration and set Width and Height to the same value

For the rest you can tune the Fontwork element until you like it.

I used LibO 4.2.6.3 on XP but this should work with Mint as well

Thanks.. I looked at fontworks but I have used Corel Draw and I was loking for something similiar. I have tried just McRae's Model Railroad around the top, and have been successful.. This gives me something to work with. I have also pulled the top ark around, so I see what you are saying in making it a complete oval.. Thanks for your help.
