L.O. was working just fine then yesterday i started getting this error “LibreOffice requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart LibreOffice.”
and Java is installed:
LinuxPC:~$ java -version
java version “1.7.0_65”
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.5.3) (7u71-2.5.3-0ubuntu1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode)
Please advise.
did you recently upgrade Java and/or LibreOffice? keep in mind that this may have happened automatically behind the scenes, if you have automatic updates turned on. in any case, you may want to try reinstalling Java, then LibreOffice.
Go into:
tools - options - libreoffice - advanced
It will say “Java Options”. Make sure you have the correct java version checked. If it isn’t listed, you can add it using the button on the right.
