How to show long numbers as text

I have a column with large numbers, I want Calc to show them entirely. I have tried formmating the cells as text but it does not work.

I’m using @ as formatting. I don’t want scientific notation. So annoying

Having set the “@” format code in advance of entering the sequence of digits (you didn’t show which one) Calc won’t change anything. You wouldn’t see an exponent part if not entered explicitly.

If you want to have a numeric format showing numbers without using the scientific notation you have to take care for a sufficient width of the column. Annoying? Having entered numerical values using more digits than can be handled by the internal format you will see a rounded value in any case.

Calc will only show 15 digits -as all spreadsheets do- as real numbers. If you have longer numbers and want to perform calculations you are out of luck. If you just want to display a long number (e.g. serial numbers, credit card numbers or so) format the cell as text (as you did) or enter spaces (1234 3456 )or letters (S/N 09876) in the number and Calc switches to text.
