About bug submission

I entered a bug submission and in response I got a error message and a program dump rather than a acknowledgement. I have done this twice with the same outcome. The bug is serious and I just want to make sure that the bug report goes to the right place so I am providing it here. It concerns a:

SPREADSHEET for the UBUNTU distribution, Version: 4.2.7.2 Build ID: 420m0(Build:2) and I believe the pervious version worked fine. Please deliver the bug report to the right place.

Problem description:

I have a large file with multiple sheets. A number of editing actions result in every “between sheet” reference disappearing. By that I mean a reference like like =‘Data Input’.$C$4 becomes =$C$4. When this happens every “between sheet” reference throughout the entire file disappears.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. One example of an action resulting in this happens when I delete a row on any sheet every “between sheet” reference throughout the file disappears.

  2. Another example, when I drag 5 cells of a row down the sheet again the “between sheet” refferences throughout the file disappear. Not only do the “between sheet” references in that row disappear, but every one throughout the file disappear.

Current behavior: “between sheet” references disappear.

Expected behavior: all references should remain unchanged when rows are moved or deleted.

Thanks for detail explanations, which allowed me to identify the bug I reported recently.

I upgraded to 4.3.4.1 and did so far not observe the bug. This might be a solution for you as well.

Also 4.2.6 portable did not show the bug.
