How to hide PR1

I am editing a 2003 MS Word Doc in LibreOffice Writer Version: 4.2.6.3. When I open it in MS Word it looks normal but when opened in LibreOffice there are extra paragraphs showing. When chosen, these are shown as PR1. How do I auto-hide these and make sure they don’t print?

“When chosen, these are shown as PR1” this is unclear to me. Could you please explain what PR1 means? A screenshot would be helpful as well.
