Find & Replace all numbers to supercript in writer?

Hello,

I just switched over to Libre office from OO. So grateful for this program.

Anyway, I am editing a very long document with chapters and verses. The verse numbers/annotations need to be superscript. It started as a text file, though, so all verses numbers are normal–not superscript.

The BIG question: is there any way to use the find and replace function, or any other method, to replace all numbers in the document with superscript? It’s fine if it’s just one number at a time, but there’s no way to do one verse at a time.

Thanks for the help.

One Method could be:

goto →Edit→search&replace
search for \d+
under more Options check [x]regular Expression
hit the →→find all button

close the Dialog, and change to Charstyle with Fontname Linux Biolinum G:sups=1

more about these special Fontproperties see here
and in this Writer-dokument

Thanks a lot for your answer. I only halfway understand it, though. It changes all numbers to “[x]”, but I don’t understand how to change charstyle. You mean change it for “[x]” only or for the whole doc? It doesn’t seem to do anything except change the font of the “[x]”. How can I keep them as the correct numbers, not all the same number, but just make them superscript?

Thanks for your patience.
