Writer - Why is a page number not visible in an exported PDF?

This applies to Writer in version 4.3.5.2, english. I’m on Win 8.1, english.

Here are two files that show the Problem:

The page number on the bottom right corner in the .odt file is not visible in the .pdf file.

Your footer paragraph has a right indentation of 0,9 cm by direct formatting (the ‘Footer’ style even 2,5 cm). You superseded this by a right aligned tabulator setting to the original (not indented) position. I deleted the last tab-shift of the paragrah and exported to pdf again: The number was visible. Obviously the export is suppressing content behind the indentation mark. I don’t know enough about pdf and exporting to pdf, and cannot tell if this is in compliance with any specifications in force. Judge yourself and file a bug report if indicated. If you do so, report here (including a link to the bug), please.
See also attachments. You will have to remove the fake extension “.odt” (required by the forum) to get shown the pdf by your reader. To make things more clear, I set a border for the footer paragraph.

Thank you very much for your time and help!

I see the problem. The weird formatting stems from my efforts of implementing the university “corporate design” from MS Word to LO Writer.

I will try to correct that fromatting and won’t file a bug report, although it’s a bit against the WYSIWYG character of the export function (which i really liked in the past).
