How do i use double underscores in a calc cell?

can’t find an option to add double underscores to a calc cell

Lupp, this is exactly what I needed…thank you!

To the cell you may apply a style with a double bottom border line.

The ‘Format Cell’s’ dialogue also has a ‘Font’ and a ‘Font Effects’ tab. The latter one allows selecting from a lot of different underlining styles.

You won’t see much of double underlining as long as the cell is vertically aligned ‘bottom’ and grid active.

There also is a > ‘Format’ > ‘Character’ path. It will be enabled if a set of characters is actually selected.

Editing:

In addition the ‘Sidebar’ with ‘Properties’ selected makes available character properties including underlining.
