Mysql and base

Hello i have libre office base on two computers, both with ubuntu 14.04, but in one case when i open new db i can choose a different db (in the user interface i have specific options) and directly connect to the mysql (existing and running), in the second case i don’t have the opportunity to change db and obviously i can’t decide how to connect to the mysql. Can someone help me?

meaning the mysql jdbc connector and/or the libreoffice native connector and/or the mariadb java connector. Note that the non-native connectors may require a manual input of parameters in the LO Java classpath. See instructions.
