Cannot launch LibreOffice base

Running LibreOffice 4.4.1.2

When i click in “Base Database” nothing happens. It should open the database wizard, isn’t it?

Where is LibreOffice Base? It seems like it is not installed. Why?

Sometimes the opening dialog box it pops under on OpenSuse. Actually, it always does, and it is not intuitive. Minimize everything, look in the programs bar, eventually you will find a dialog box asking where to look for a new database. It happens to me all the time. For a different intro, just open LibreOffice through the main window and then Base from there, might help.

Sorry, i didn’t say i’m running Windows 8.1. And no, there is no hidden windows. Base is not being launched.

Until now i just upgraded Libreoffice. But because of a different reason i needed to downgrade and had to uninstall it. Because of this uninstall-install process the problem with Base is somehow fixed. Now it opens again like it should do.

Same to me on win 7 64bit SP1. “sbase.exe” is not in the directory where other exe files are. In installation procedure there is no possibility to choose base in options.
