I am a new LO user and downloaded the suite earlier today.
So far, Write works well.
However, when I tried to make my first database I’m getting a “to open
LibreOffice you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime”
To my knowledge I’m up to Java 8, I believe.
Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure LO does recognize the installed Java RT.
Open the “Tools”-Menu, click on “options”.
On the subsequent dialog open the “LibreOffice” node and click on “Advanced”.
After a few seconds your installed java rt should show up if LO recognises it.
Otherwise you may need to add it by hand.
This does pertain to the LO 4.3 line on Windows 7 HP with Java 8 (32bit).
