Is there a list of common word-processor functions still not perfected?

Since, for instance, copy & paste doesn’t function normally in Writer and there is no discussion or explanation of the state of play, I wondered if there was a list anywhere detailing which of the common word-processor functions still needing development? As well as knowing what needs work it would help with knowing what Writer can’t do.

On all LibO versions, starting from 3.4 to 4.3and on Windows, Mac and Linux OS copy & paste functions with ctrl+c and ctrl+v as well as using icons, context menu or roll-down menu. I regard this as “normal”. Thus, what do you mean with “…copy & paste doesn’t function normally in Writer…”?

Additionally please give information on your OS, LibO version and the way you do copy & paste actions

Thanks for the reply. Even this forum functions bizarrely. My answer to your questions started above your answer, now it’s below here. The amount of detail you required exceeded the character limit of this comment box. Given the rule of only one answer per user presumably this thread just ends with no conclusion. Anyway, all very helpful with deciding if LibOff is really a useful alternative office package.

Thank you. Win 8.1, LibOff 4.4
I’ve mentioned this elsewhere with no response adding to the impression that this is a problem. For example, on a web page with a length of text and then a series of images one just places the cursor at the top of the text and with left mouse copy the whole piece in the normal way. On pasting by mouse in another word processor this is all neatly displayed as expected over say 6 consecutive pages without any chopping of images between pages. In Writer the text is ignored leaving a blank page and on the next page all the images are superimposed on top of each other. Pasting by Ctrl+v rather than mouse again ignores the text and places two and a half images on a single page and nothing more.

If the normally displayed piece in the other WP is copied and pasted into Writer the text appears as it should but the images are a series of blank boxes. If one double clicks in an image box and selects the image tab in the dialog box that appears, it is clear the image data is there but no amount of trying different settings will reveal the image in Writer. None of that is normal.
