Just got a new computer (iMac) and considering LibreOffice as opposed to Microsoft Office. Just wanted to know if it’s easy and/or possible to import all my docs from Word and Excel (MS Office 2008) to LibreOffice. Being old and decrepit, I’m not techno minded and find a lot of what’s written confusing. But I do need all the stuff on my old computer. Please help!! Thanks.
I’ve done the same thing. Most docs import just fine. Sometimes a table or some docs that have images or layers that I’ve gotten from colleagues misbehave. But there is usually a way around any problems.
I love the autocomplete feature with learning that LibreOffice excels in.

Thanks for your answer. My new Mac was delivered yesterday and today I’m going to do the swap over! Excited or what!! Have decided to go with LibreOffice. Your comments have given me reassurance. Thank you.
