nothing happens when I try to open program
¿Base? I have the same problem with Libreoffice Base in Windows. Writer, Calc and Draw open as expected.

Keep in mind a helper must simulate what you did to become able to help you.
I have an HP notebook running windows 8.1. Occasionally I cannot open Libreoffice program or liblreoffice documents. When I click on the Libreoffice icon or libreoffice documents there appears about 2 seconds of activity to open them and then nothing. In the past rebooting helped but not this time.
Maybe is has something to do with your libreoffice user profile. Try to remove it before launching libreoffice.
