LibreOffice Draw is saving all my lines as arrows. How do I change this?

I made a drawing in Draw about three weeks ago (using LibreOffice 4.2.8 on a 64 bit version of Windows 8.1) and recently went into it to take another look at it and found that all my lines had been saved with arrows on the tips instead of just plain lines. The only huge change I made was that I updated LibreOffice from 4.2.8 to the current version of LibreOffice (4.4.3). I’d checked it before and had no problems. I’d even made some changes to the drawing.

I’ve tried to change the arrows back to lines and then save but when I open the odg back up, it has changed them back into arrows again. Luckily I saved it as a pdf but I still need this drawing to work normally. Please help! I don’t want to have to do this drawing from scratch again and I NEED this drawing to be back to normal in case I have to make any further changes.

I had the same problem. The following work around saved my drawings.
I opened a new instance of LibreOffice Draw. I then copied the entire original drawing, as a single object, onto the blank page. It appeared without the arrows. I then saved the new drawing. Re-opening it proved that a solution had been found.
