Hello, first off, I’d like to thank the LibreOffice community for getting an open source office application out there. I originally started with Excell and word, however, some of their recent policies left me searching for alternative. I stumbled upon OpenOffice, however, their spreadsheet application wasn’t robust enough for what I needed to do, however, LibreOffice fit the mould quite nicely.
Unfortunately i’ve come to a problem. The spreadsheet seems to match my needs, however, the page styles system doesn’t seem to meet my demands. I am a budding geochemist, and my publications require me to have a uniform header, but a running footer where I place citations for things being reference in the article. Each page will have a specific citation, numerous citations or none at all, while as mentioned eariler I must have a uniform header through out. Currently I am working around this problem by having to create a style for each page and entering in the header for each individual page. This would be much simpler if there was a way for me to separate header styles from footer styles, or a footer style that allows me to have a free form to that is not linked to future footers, so i don’t have to create a style for each page. My question is, is there a way to manage header styles seperately from footer styles and is there a way to create an unlinked footer?
