Can I delete LibreOffice furnished fonts?

I just installed LibreOffice. I edit documents that must be exchanged with others using MS Word. It is important that I use only MS furnished fonts. Can I delete all the LibreOffice furnished fonts without causing problems?

You are fairly confident! I was hoping someone knew for sure, and if it affected LibeOffice, in what way.

I’m fairly confident that you can do this without issue.

Your safest option would be to copy the font files that you want to delete out to a temporary backup directory and then perform the font delete procedure. Then test to be sure that everything works as expected. If problems arise, copy/install them back. If all is well after a day or few, delete the backup directory.

I assume that your are using a Windows PC. Therefore the recommendation of @Throwaway is from my Windows XP experience absolutely correct.

Fonts are handled in Windows and provided to applications like LibreOffice or MS Office. LibreOffice provides just some free of charge fonts which are also installed in the font directory of the control panel.

However you don’t need to delete the LibO fonts, you simply can use the MS fonts you need.
