Calc does not compute a formula, why?

I am working with Mac OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3 and LibreOffice Version 4.3.7.2.

In cell “test1.A3” of the following file, I have a simple formula which just sums up the content of cell “test1.A2” plus 1, but it get stuck to an arbitrary number instead.

I removed everything from the file that did not trigger a new computation and I end up with a very simple file which (for a reason that I would like to understand) still does not compute correctly.
Here is the file:

The content of test1.A2 is 1985 so logically I would expect 1986 (1985+1) to appear in test1.A3 but instead I have 1866, weird!

Do you know why?

Please what it’s your OS and your LibreOffice version?, shows the correct value for me with Win7x64 LibreOffice 4.4.3.2

Works for me Win 8.1x64 LO 4.4.3.2 I do notice that Track Changes is on. May not mean anything though.

beside that – may I ask you: whats the sense of this obfuscated formula in A1 ??

@karolus: I don’t remember, I did this formula for another person some time ago and this person came back saying the file was broken.

Hi - As this also works in my environment (windows 7 & 4.4.4.1.0+) a new question: is your spreadsheet set to automatic recalculation (menu Tools Cells Contents AutoCalculate)?

It is set to automatic recalculation indeed. And even if I perform a manual recalculation (menu Tools Cells Contents Recalculate), it still does not compute correctly but keep this weird value.
