How to create a fixed table with two rows of equal width and length, also fixed to insert images

Hi Guys,

I have been battling to work this out. Ideally I am trying to create a table the length of a page in Libre Office Writer in portrait mode. Then in that table, I would like two rows that are of exact equal width and length within the table.

I want to establish the following:

  1. How can I create the table with two rows exactly the size size, basically a table that has been halved in two (with just a line running horizontally across from left border to the right.

  2. Then I want to lock that table so that when I insert an image in the top half and and an image in the bottom half of the table that the table and/or rows will not expand or move onto the next page. I would love to insert an image in here so that I can explain clearly but currently this forum does not allow for attachments unless I am wrong.

I would be grateful for any help in this area from my more learned friends

If I understood fine: Select the table, or cells in the rows to fix, then right-click, select row->height-> set up the height and Unmark fit to size.
