your last Sentence is the contradiction -- there is no entering without pressing enter -- on which criteria should calc decide your numeric input is complete ???

I don't know about using a macro.

You can use Tab Key to "Enter" the data and move to the right. This keeps Enter for moving down a cell.

Or under Tools, Options, + LibreOffice Calc (you'll have to have a spreadsheet open), General, under Input Settings, Change the functionality of the Enter Key with Down, Up, Left, Right.

The easiest answer, I think, is to change to using the arrow keys ( ) rather than the Enter keys ( Enter)). If you press the correct direction key it will both enter the value into the current cell then move the cursor in the direction specified.
