Behaviour of radio/option buttons in PDF forms

I have a form with several groups of option buttons. In Acrobat reader on Windows and evince on Linux i can click the option buttons and every one I click will stay selected. I also cannot unselect them. Setting a group name in the properties settings doesn’t seem to influence this behaviour.

Is there anything else I could try?

Thanks!

OK, so its the name property that determines which option buttons belong together. That is: in the properties dialogue, you have to give option buttons of the same group the same “name” in the “general” tag.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps anyone with similar problems.

Thanks, this was the correct, but unintuitive answer. I tried to set “Group Name” to the same value first.

Thanks for the answer, because I was searching for it for a long time. LibO has this option “Group name” which seems to join “option” (a.k.a. radio) buttons, so that only one of them gets selected, as it’s expected, but it works only in Libo. When exporting to PDF that behaviour stops working. Using the same name for all group buttons keeps the correct behaviour. Thanks again.

Still seem to have an issue on a form I am creating. Regardless of whether I give them all the same name.
I have even given them the same group name.

If I use the form in odt then it works fine, but when I try in PDF, it doesn’t.

Does anyone have any further suggestions?
